I been using MyFitnessPal for over a year now and a few days ago bought a FItbit and was happy to see it could be linked. I mostly use MyFitnessPal to scan the barcodes of items that I eat so I can keep track of calories.
You can do that with the Fitbit App as well HOWEVER the Fitbit app fails to find 80% of the items that I scan and MyFitnessPal has no problem finding anything. So when the FitBit app can't find a certain product that's when I pop open MFP and scan it there instead. The problem is that even though they're linked FitBit isn't taking the calories from MFP and putting them into their app so it's only showing the calories that I logged with the FB app.
This is pretty annoying. Anyone know what I can possibly do? Because on the VERY FIRST day that I linked them FitBit was taking MFP's calories into their app but just decided to stop and I haven't done anything different.

I am having this exact same problem! I unlinked the accounts and re-linked them yesterday and it worked, but back to having the same problem today! I'd love some advice too so I can see my full day in FitBit rather than having to use 2 separate apps....

Same. Unlinked and link them back and no fix. I'll just continue to bump this post every day or two until I get some kind of official response because if it's not working then they should remove it from compatible apps.

So I did discover something! I had already made my meal plan for the week so I added all my food in MFP last week for this week. When I deleted the food item and re-added it today, that item sync'd to fitbit. So I deleted the items and re-added them today and it all sync'd up. Not sure if you are adding daily or pre-adding items like me.

I'm adding as I go so daily for me. Still haven't had a official response from Fitbit and it still isn't working. 😞

Try this one too: In MFP app click the "More" tab, then "Steps" option. Make sure fitbit is selected as your main device. Mine hap switched from fitbit to my phone, which was also part of the reason they weren't syncing.

Don't even have phone as an option since I disabled it. Just shows my flex.

Hello there, @komentra, @komentra! Thanks for joining us! Please revoke the access and linked the accounts again.
If you have and are still experiencing problems, I recommend you to contact My Fitness Pal directly to check if they are experiencing problems on their side and maybe this is why it is not working. Also, confirm that you are running the latest version of the App and that you have logged out and back in.
Let me know!
