Similar issue, fitbit auto sync to Strava broke after 2-3 years of working just fine. Changed from fitbit login to google login last year ok. Mid January auto upload link stopped working. Tried changing to same login email as new google login. Found a Strava free trial had auto renewed in to paid sub about the same time. Tried unlinking and relinking, tried unlinking, deleting, reinstalling and relinking. Tried going back to previous email login. None of these worked except manually exporting from fitbit and manually uploading to Strava but life's too short for so much faffing about every activity so will just delete Strava if no resolution, waste of time and regret getting another fitbit device.

Really disappointed if the case. Even more p***ed off they can't be bothered to present this response instead of us all wasting hours of time trying to find an answer when they've killed the access in the first place.

I have had same issue since early Jan. And no email trail from Fitbit when they told me check Strava. Finally hearing back from Strava who say it sits with Fitbit?
Now Fitbit going to take higher. I commented in chat its happening with more then one person. Whats going on?

Yes @LeanneE18 as mentioned above, Fitbit is responsable for the sync. It is possible that Strava's API isn't working.
I checked, my last weeks walk did get synced to Strava. My youngest brothers walk yesterday mourning synced, so did last weeks bike ride. Last week other brothers bike ride (with 1500 feet in elevation) also synced to Strava.
Things seem to be working for us 3. The only direct suggestion we can give is to revoke Strava, then reconnect.
To revoke, open the Fitbit App - Tap your icon in the top right - My Settings - Manage Access to Data - Manage Access to Apps - Strava - Revoke
Now reconnect by going to https://strava.fitbit.com/
Strava support https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216918087-Fitbit-and-Strava
The other recourse would be to Contact Support

So going to try something else. Instead of revoking access in both and the reconnecting I'm leaving revoked for 2-3 days and then will reconnect and see what happens.

I got same issue, using Fitbit charge 6 an pixel 8 phone. No syncing anymore since beginning 2025.
I contacted Strava: here is the reply:
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing trouble syncing your activity over to Strava. Fitbit syncing issues are unfortunately something we do not have visibility into. Fitbit actually pushes activities to Strava and if there is an activity on Strava that's not on Fitbit, Fitbit pulls the activity from us.
So problems at Fitbit??

I've reconnected Strava to fitbit this morning and will see how it all goes. Interestingly trying to set it up on my phone resulted in a 500 internal server error after I I logged into Fitbit. So I never got the Fitbit/Google authorize what Strava can see. Did it on my laptop after this and it all setup fine. If it still doesn't I'll have to disconnect it, leave it for a few days again and try again as the error may have mucked everything up.

This just started happening to me (Pixel Watch2) this last weekend. Activities had been synching fine, but then after a run Sunday morning it didn't sync. Thought maybe just a server issue - tried to do the reattach Fitbit/Strava accounts thing but got an error, so assumed it would be fixed soon. Rode to work the next day and tracked with my watch and again didn't sync. What's strange, is that my bike commute today that I tracked with my bike computer/uploaded to Strava shows up in the Fitbit app. So it's able to pull info from Strava but not push?
Guess I'm back to using my 9 year-old Garmin 235 for sports tracking. Was already doing this for swims since the Pixel watch app is really poor for that (and Fitbit wouldn't sync those with Strava anyway), but I was liking the Pixel for runs 😞

Well that's it I've given up on Fitbit (well actually more likely Google). I tried disconnecting accounts again, leaving for a day or so and then relinking. Got the same errors when reconnecting and still no sync to Strava. I have been in the Fitbit ecosphere since June 2014 (original flex). It's a bitter pill to swallow to leave.
I found a Garmin at a good price and yesterday and bit the bullet and today the Fitbit sits at home. I was already in Garmin's ecosystem with my cycling computer, HR strap and power pedals anyway and so far this is pretty painless transition for general fitness tracking and runs/walks etc across. I'm not expecting to move back especially as from data analysis PoV it's just so much more powerful anyway.
Goodbye Fitbit it's a shame what has happened to you and that it has ended like this.

This doesn't seem to be the case for all users.
My last successful sync was a run on March 27th 2025 (including map data), but after that it stopped.
