When I enter my food and water intake on Myfitnesspal (MFP), the app's tiles will not display the information in real time like it used to with the old dashboard. If I click on the food or water tiles, the charts will update, and the dashboard tiles get updated. Also, logging out and login back in (after entering the data) refreshes the dashboard tiles. I fully understand that with the new dashboard, you can only view today's data and scrolling to see other days won't refresh the data (which is absolutely useless) but the app isn't even working for the current day and is not displaying the tiles data in real time.
Here's what I've tried dozens of times:
- Cleared the app's data/cache, forced stop, and phone restart.
- Performed full phone factory reset, soft reset, and cleared partition cache.
- Uninstalled/reinstalled the app.
- Unlink/relink app on MFP and Fitbit.
- Reset the fitbit device with a paperclip.
- Turned on/off every single app's general and advanced setting possible (all day sync, always connected, location, etc).
- Let the fitbit device run out of power and fully recharged it.
- Downloaded the app on a Windows 10 computer, synched with the dongle, performed all the steps above and below on different computers (32 and 64 bit); all the tiles are displaying the i information as expected online and on the computers' apps.
- Tried to add Flex as new device and went through the whole setup process.
- Keep the phone and Fitbit device updated with the latest firmware.
- Turned off/on bluetooth and removed other connected devices. When I reconnect, it says "unable to pair with flex."
- Contacted customer service and followed all their prompted scripts. The support incident was escalated a long time ago, but no resolution and haven't received any status updates.
Is there a way to solve this issue once and for all or is it time to get a different tracker brand that actually works like it should?
Device: Flex
Fitbit app version: 2.63
MF app version: 6.29.2
Phone: Samsung Galaxy SM-J700P, Android 7.1.1; not on the compatible list, but it was working fine before the new dashboard was released and updated; all of the sudden is all about a short Fitbit "compatibility list," which doesn't makes much sense either.

Hi there @SunsetRunner, let me give you a joyful welcome to our Fitbit Community! I was reading your post and let me say thank you for your honest feedback. We are always happy to hear comments from our users, since this allow us to improve the Fitbit experience.
I was reading your post and it seems you have tried all the possible solutions I could provide you. I reached our Customer support team and according to the last interaction, our team mentioned this type of changes are not immediate and your feedback was rely to our team to have in consideration your comments.
However In my experience, I believe this delay you are experiencing more than an issue, is just a delay in the integration of MFP and Fitbit to share data, since the update of the new dashboard doesn't intervene in how the data is share across third party integrations. In some scenarios there may be an occasional 3-5 minute delay of average, which is an expected behavior from both parties (Fitbit and MFP) not considering this as an issue.
Perhaps something you can try if you haven't, is to revoke the access of MFP to Fitbit and re-link both accounts to reset the integration. The following post will give you the necessary steps. But keep in mind this is not guarantee the behavior you are seeing will change, but it might help for the communication between your accounts doesn't take longer from what is expected.
See you around and one more time, I appreciate your feedback.

Thank you for your response. I've tried revoking the access online on both applications dozens of times, but the issue persists.
To clarify, Fitbit is receiving the MFP data within a few minutes as you stated, but the only way to view the information is to: (a) click on the calories tile, then the graphs will populate, (b) click on the water tile, click "today," and then "your progress" will update, or (c) logout and log back in, then the app displays the information received from MFP.
It is a Fitbit issue and many users are having many different sync issues of some sort.

I’ve experienced the same issue since last night when I updated some of my apps.
My nutritional info shows up on the Fitbit dashboard if logged in on a desktop, but won’t show up on my phone in the dashboard anymore 😩
have also tried all the steps you listed above and nothing.
Let me know when you find a solution.

Hello there @SunsetRunner and welcome aboard to our Fitbit Community @Elani. My apologies for being absent during these holidays and I'm wondering how it goes? is the issue still persisting?
This is something I had directly from MyFitnesspal site, If after trying all troubleshooting options, you still do not see a sync, we would recommend waiting 24 hours for any delays to catch up. MyFitnessPal usually sync data within 15 minutes of activity as I mentioned in my other post, but in some instances there are technical issues that may prevent sync from being immediate.
However if after 24 hrs the information is not updating, then is recommendable to get in contact with MFP customer support. which in your case @Elani, depending how it goes so far, I will strongly recommend to do since this scenario is not regular.
See you until the next time. Feel free to post any other question you may have.

Hello all--I got an Alta HR for the holidays to replace a Garmin that died. I love the Alta's form factor, but the one thing that I thought that Garmin had over Fitbit was an integration with MyFitnessPal, which has a superior food database. I was overjoyed to find that Fitbit integrated, but I, too cannot make the apps sync data. I followed the troubleshooting link that was posted here, to no luck.
Will be interested to follow this challenge to resolution. MM

It is sad to see that there seems to be no resolution to this problem, and now it is four months later--in mid April!
I never used to have a problem. I would enter meals into MFP, then switch over to FitBit dashboard (on my desktop) and instantly everything carried over from MFP.
Now I am waiting hours and hours--or sometimes until the following day--to see my stats on Fitbit dash. This is of no help at all when I'm trying to determine how much I can eat for my next meal!

There still seems to be a problem with this.
The question is does the problem lie with MFP or FitBit? I’ve disconnected and connected several times and still nothing.

Yes, I'm really getting annoyed with this. Neither FitBit nor MFP seem to be willing or able to fix it.

Hello guys! Welcome aboard @sgourley89. I'm happy to see you again participating in our Community @jachang, my apologies for the delayed reply.
First, I would like to appreciate the feedback that was provided in regards the delay of the data that is transferred from MyFitnessPal and Fitbit. I'd like to confirm if both of you already took in consideration te information that was posted above? Revoking access to MyFitnessPal may improve this delay.
I'll be here if you need anything else. Your understanding and patience are appreciated.

My syncing has been fixed. I had written to FitBit support, and they escalated my problem to a higher tier level of support. Shortly after that, my MFP and FitBit started syncing properly again.
I had already done the revoking access, pairing and unpairing multiple times with no success.
It's interesting, because when I let support know that it was working again, they said they had not finished coordinating with MFP yet about the problem, so I still don't know which app was responsible--FitBit or MFP. It has been working fine for three days, and I hope it continues.
Thanks for checking in on us!

We shouldn't have to do so many things to get these 2 apps to sync. I thought it was just us, both myself and my mom have the exact same issue, and I'm quite frustrated to the point of returning my fitbit if these bugs don't get worked out. I also don't like that wifi doesn't stay connected, so the only way Alexa works if I'm near my phone, what a load of garbage. What is the point of having a voice assistant on your wrist if it doesn't leave the house with you.
