Usually my fitbit is good with calculating calories but yesterday, after an hour gym session, it only said in MFP that i'd burnt 70 calories and then by the end of the day it said only 22 calories.
If you didn't manually log your workout, you won't get the credit for the calories burned. If it is a connection problem, you might try disconnecting and then reconnecting the accounts.
