Fitbit not logging calories burned on My Fitness Pal

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For the last month I have had to manually log my activites on MFP. I have had the Flex for around 8 months and up until about a month ago it logged what I burned with no issues on My Fitness Pal.

I have tried disconnecting the apps from both the backend of MFP and Fitbit several times now. When it does log something say an hour walk/jog where I burned 200 calories it logs 25 then during the day slowly dwindles to 0.

I bought the Fitbit Charge HR yesterday and loving it and disconnected both apps on MFP and Fitbit again and reconnected and it's not logging calories burned.

Not sure why it just refuses to work but it's getting a little frustrating.

Any tips to get it working again?

@Laughter It's nice to see new faces around! I appreciate the troubleshooting that you've done. Fitbit will do a calorie adjustment in Fitbit if it's necessary, check What is the Calorie Adjustment in my Exercise Diary?

Are you not seeing calorie adjustment at all? Aren't all the calories syncing to MFP? If you can provide me with a screnshot of what you're seeing I'll be happy to investigate it.

I'm having the same problem.  I have been using Flex for about a month and it has up until a week ago synced with My Fitness Pal and adjusted my calories burned.  For the last week, no matter what I try, I haven't been able to move past the '0' exercise calories and I am remaining well under my TDEE.  I haven't changed any of the settings on my Flex or MFP, so really don't understand why it's stopped working or how to fix it.

@Peta72 Thanks for stopping by! Please unlink and relink both accounts. Are you still seeing the "Fitbit Calorie Adjustment" in MFP?

@Peta72 Sure, I'll be happy to give you the steps. Go to your Dashboard > click on settings > Applications >  there you'll see MFP below that click on "revoke access" this will unlink both accounts after this follow this procedure to link them again.

Hi:  In order for me to get my Fitbit stats recorded on MFP I have to every day log into fitbit, record my stats, and then disconnect MFP from Fitbit.  Once I'm disconnected, I reconnect MFP to Fitbit.  I do this after I do my exercises and at the end of the day.  It is a hassle, but it does work.  I don't know what happened because it would always do it automatically.  It's like synch doesn't work anymore!  I believe I read it has something to do with the android's lollipop update.  I truely wish they would synch together without all  this hassle.  I cannot live without either app!  HELP!

@kjbb007 Hey there! I'm sorry to hear that you have to unlink and relink both accounts in order to link them again. I would like you to contact MyFitnessPal directly they will check your account and see why they aren't syncing.

Hope this helps

I am having a little different problem. I just ran with my Fitbit Flex for the first time and while I see a calorie adjustment for the routine daily activity on MFP, I am not seeing my run synced. Is there anything specific I need to do, or should it sync automatically?

@SunsetRunner Hey there! Fitbit will sync steps and calories to MyFitnessPal. However, the steps and sleep data will be viewed in the check-in section of MFP.
