From early January 2025 Fitbit no longer synchronizes with Strava. All recommended steps have been taken to reset the connection but these have all failed to rectify the issue.
I use a Fitbit Versa 4 with the Fitbit app on an Apple iPhone 13. These synchronize fine. Activities on Fitbit (with GPS) do NOT synchronize with Strava.
This issue has been raised with both Fitbit and Strava and both have blamed each other.
For reference: Actvities logged directly on Strava also do NOT synchronize with Fitbit.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue and if so has anyone resolved this? If not, what is the escalation process within Fitbit as it seems that this device isn’t fit for purpose?

Not working yet.
I raised a support query with Fitbit and was advised that v4.39 of the Fitbit app (for android) should fix the issue. I have replied that v4.38 is what's available to me on Google Play, not v4.39 and they advised that it's rolling out gradually. I'll keep checking in the next few days.
If any of you have Fitbit v4.39 for android already, check to see if it's fixed for you?

Support doesn't seem to be able to help either. Any other way to escalate this?

I have a hypothesis. See if you can confirm it. I just got a run to sync. Before I went on my run, I twice tried allowing app access at https://strava.fitbit.com. Both times it reported no error, no 500 http status code. I believe what allowed this to work was my migration of my Fitbit account to my Google account. We all must migrate this year anyway. Perhaps it’s the legacy Fitbit accounts that don’t sync to Strava these days.

My account is migrated to Google.
Just tried the link and got the typical error 500.

I migrated my account to Google sometime ago (last year? Year before?) but syncing to Strava stopped working in Jan this year.
I managed to install Fitbit v4.39 from Google Play and it hasn't fixed the issue as my active support case suggested. I've now been advised that V4.40 is rolling out. Let's see if that helps. I'm not convinced it will though...

I'm having the same issue too. I've tried revoking access on both, logging out, reinstalling the apps, logging back in and granting access but still not syncing.
I know we can upload manually but that's not why we connect the apps!

I'm on 4.40 and sync is still not working.

Not syncing. All the same symptoms: Android version 4.40. I use Google Account in Fitbit. I got 500 error in https://strava.fitbit.com

Just tried V4.40 and not working for me either, even after disconnecting and reconnecting Fitbit with Strava again.

it’s April and Strava not working for me. Came in here
hoping to find a way to get it synced and see you fine folks having this problem since January. Really love my Fitbit but want to use Strava for my friends who started a run club.
Frustrated it’s not an easy fix. Uploading daily seems a pain

I have an active support case running. The last update a few days ago was...
"We have forwarded your case to our support team.
This issue has been escalated and currently under review. They are aware of this and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. They have not provided when this will be resolved.
We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track."
...so it's a watch-and-wait job for now.

Hi all
Having had the same issues (I believe since January), I again raised the problem with Strava last night.
After several instances of being told to uninstall/reinstall, I logged as a ticket and they suggested I reconnect from a desktop connection (in fact this is what led me here!)
I have just done this and as I have to cycle home from work tonight, I will see if this magically fixes everything. Will let you know either way.
Interested to know if anybody has also tried this, by the way ...
