Fitbit syncing to Runkeeper

Just got my Charge Hr. I have a Runkeeper account that I want to sync with my Fitbit. When I search for instructions, they don't seem to work. On the Runkeeper app, in settings, manage devices and hardware, it doesn't find my Fitbit when it searches. How to I make these types of apps find my Fitbit? Per my searches, they should be compatible. Thanks!

You sync the apps, not the device.

What are you expecting to happen? The Runkeeper-Fitbit sync doesn't really accomplish much, sadly.
