Hi all 🙂
Got my first fitness tracker in the charge 3 a couple days ago.
Unfortunately I got sucked in by all the websites that mention spO2 feature in a misleading way - disappointed but it was still the best bang for buck I could get at local retail stores. Haven't seen any news on the spO2 support but I assume it's not actually coming?
I've been using Google fit and just using my phone to automatically track steps and distance for a long time. So I got setup with FitToFit app straight away to sync to Google and turned off Google fit's activity detection.
- I like having the maps though and I never manually trigger an activity because google fit does it for me.
- is it correct that the Fitbit can't produce a map via the phone GPS unless I manually tell it to start tracking a walk/run every time?
- since I don't want to manually trigger anything am I better to just leave the google tracking/detection on and continue to let FitToFit migrate other data?
- is there another way to get maps recorded without manually triggering activities that I haven't thought of?
Thanks for taking the time to read.

@batwingNZ Welcome to the Community. I'll be happy to answer your questions.
Regarding your question about the SpO2 sensor, in the future, this sensor could give consumers the opportunity to identify potential health issues like sleep apnea. We are still exploring how this would appear in the consumer experience, but such technology would use this sensor.
Is it correct that the Fitbit can't produce a map via the phone GPS unless I manually tell it to start tracking a walk/run every time? In order to record an activity using connected GPS, you will need to connect your Charge 3 to your phone and then start your activity, you can learn more about it by checking this article.
Since I don't want to manually trigger anything am I better to just leave the google tracking/detection on and continue to let FitToFit migrate other data? Currently, Fitbit doesn't synchronize data to Google Fit, you could learn more about it by checking this feature suggestion.
Is there another way to get maps recorded without manually triggering activities that I haven't thought of? It's not possible to record GPS data unless you use connected GPS with your Charge 3 and your Fitbit app.
Let me if you have any additional question.
