Has anyone connected FitDataSync and Garmin Connect?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My FitBit account is idle since 2015 FitBit device lost in the locker room. Recent purchase of Garmin 920XT syncs with Garmin Connect application in my PC Windows10 and my Nokia Lumia Windowsphone10.
How can I share my data with FitBit friends so we encourage eachother?

Hello @stephenrmills, good to see you again. In the past there was an integration between Fitbit and Garmin, however this third party association is not longer supported.

Perhaps is of your interest to vote for this idea on our Suggestion board about  Garmin Connect Integration, because those suggestions are viewed by our engineers and developers.  Our product team looks forward to reading and incorporating your suggestions into future versions of Fitbit trackers and apps. Although is worth to mention this integrations are not initiative of Fitbit, but from third party services who decide to integrate their services with Fitbit using our open API.

Hope this information helps. see you around!

For detailed steps of sharing data from Garmin connect use Garmin 920xt Manual . Here i am sharing basic idea of this setup:

Open the Connect Mobile application.
Android - Touch the menu icon (3 horizontal lines in upper left corner)
iOS – Touch the ‘More’ icon (bottom right)
Touch "Activity Stats" .
Touch "All Activities".
Select the desired activity.
Touch the menu icon in upper right corner.
Select Share.
Choose how you would like to share the activity, e.g, email, Facebook, and Messaging.
Share your activity by sending or posting the activity link.

So if I use Garmin, but sync all activities to Strava.

Would I be able to just sync Strava with FitBit and have the records in FItBit?

I had no success with syncing Strava data to FitBit

Hello @alkayahnik, thank you for sharing this information, I'm wondering which apps are compatible to received data by following this process?

Thank you for visiting us one more time @YuliyaL. Yes, you can integrate your Fitbit account with Strava, however as I mentioned in my previous post, the integrations may work different, so it's important to mention the following:

  • Exercises with GPS data recorded with Fitbit will be sent to Strava. Heart rate data will be included when it's available
  • Exercises recorded with Fitbit's app or devices that do not include GPS data are not currently share to Strava
  • In the other hand, exercises recorded in Strava will be synced to Fitbit as manually logged activities, but will not include GPS or heart rate data from Strava.

How you can integrate your accounts? Is easy: Go to https://strava.fitbit.com/ and click "Connect" and follow the rest of the prompts to finish reconnecting your Fitbit and Strava accounts

Hope this helps and see you until the next time!
