Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me - I just can’t figure it out ! My Fitbit and my strava accounts are saying they are linked but my information is not uploading to strava - I’ve tried everything - surely there is something I must be missing ?? Thanks
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
Best AnswerThank you so much for your help- was trying to track walk and run . I think you’ve just sorted my problem. Much appreciated
Best AnswerI have a similar question. I have just upgraded from Fitbit blaze to Sense2. Not sure how it happened but my Blaze would share heart rate with Strava app. It would never immediately appear but within an hour of finishing a workout, my heart rate data would show up in the Strava app. The Sense2 does not share any heart rate info. Has any one been successful in sharing heart rate with the Sense2?
Best Answer@31moppie yes, it does work for me and the sync to Strava is instant (right after syncing with Fitbit app). I didn't do anything special. It just works. Make sura Strava has permission to access HR data (in Strava app settings):
Best AnswerSo I removed both the Sense2 entries from the bluetooth list and un-associated my Strava and Fitbit accounts. Then set them all back up again and still no heart rate info. In Strava, it shows that my Fitbit and Strava accounts are linked. If hit record in Strava and then click on the "heart" icon, I get a window where it is searching for a heart rate device but none are listed and it never finds one. Does this jive at all?
Best Answer@31moppie it shouldn't work that way. The Strava sync works only one way: Fitbit to Strava. You need to record activity using your watch. Then it will appear in Strava. What you tried to do was using your watch as a heart rate monitor which you can (no Fitbit can broadcast HR to thirdparties).
That was going to be my next question as to how to use the apps together. That sounds like it might cure my problem. I'll try that and post the result.
Thx again
Best AnswerI have kind of same issue. Fitbit will not sync to Strava. I have disconnected and reconnected, but nothing seams to be transferred.
Best AnswerI don't know what I'm doing wrong but my activities from last year aren't on strava. Anyone got any crayons to explain
Best AnswerOnly runs and rides will sync to Strava. All other activities ldon't sync even if they record with GPS. I hope FitBit/Strava will change this.
Best AnswerSeems Fitbit have now washed their hands of it
just got this..
Sorry to hear about this. Strava is a third-party app, and there may be limitations in terms of the troubleshooting Fitbit can provide and access to other apps. If the issue still persists, I suggest that you contact the customer support of Strava to take a look into this. I suggest that you can try again to disconnect and reconnect your Strava and Fitbit account (http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1742.htm?Highlight=Revoke.). After that, please test the syncing process again.
Best Answer@MarkFizz first of all, nobody was or is "looking into it" and we all know it. Sync to Strava is always done from third-party into Strava and Strava has pretty easy to use and working API. Strava never establishes links with third-parties and same rules apply to Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Zwift, Rouvy and everything else. Considering how poor the Strava integration is between Fitbit and Strava (it's very limited because, for some unknown reason, Fitbit decided to severely limit it) I would say problem is on Fitbit side 100%. Strava doesn't handle external links to third-parties and doesn't push data into other services either (others need to pull).
