First of all I use My Fitness Pal, I purchased a Schwinn 470 elliptical so that it would sync with MFP. It works ok, unofortunatley it's not wireless. Because FitBit and SchwinnConnect both sync with MFP, I'm guessing but not FitBit with Schwinn, I'm guessing there is the potential to double count if I wear my FitBit while on my Schwinn elliptical. What's the best way to handle this?
I found this over at MFP when someone asked about logging playing golf in MFP and also wearing their fitbit:
"As long as your time zones are set to the same setting in your MyFitnessPal profile (under settings, then Change Time Zone) and on FitBit.com (edit your profile there) then the exercise will not be double counted.
Bear in mind, that the FItBit is only basing it's calorie burn on the walking-around part of the golf game. If you log the golf game on MFP, the calculation may give a higher calorie burn than the FitBit estimate, but this data definitely over-writes the same time period on FitBit (the calories are evenly distributed over the period of time accounted for by the exercise).
Note that if you are logging your exercise at the end of the day, rather than closer to the time you perform it, the two site's do not have a chance to reconcile their estimates of your calorie burn until then. Ideally, you will log your exercise as soon as possible after performing it, so that a more accurate fitbit adjustment can be made earlier in the day."

Ok, so I actually tried it. Looks like it pulls the information from MFP into Fitbit dashboard, not bad!
