Logging exercise and wrong calories

2 things: First, I manually enter exercise via MFP. My fit bit is not adding that activity to my active minutes. This just started today.
Second: my calorie count seems to be off. Also track my food via MFP. For instance today, I have about 1700 calories out/1100 calories in. But fit bit says I'm 50 calories over budget. Doesn't seem accurate.

@angrygrrl922 Hey there! Not all the activities that you log will give you active minutes because any activity that requires more than just steps like tennis or yoga should be log to improve the accuracy of this activity's contribution to your caloric burn. I would like you to check this article What are active minutes?

Regarding the second issue that you're having, our engineers are aware of this and they are working to fix it, you may want to check the main thread so as soon as it's fixed or there's more information someone will post it there.

I'm seeing strange entries in my activity log -- like this: Oct 19, 5:55PM Activity record 0 N/A 0:00 0 cals Entries in the activity log that show zero steps/zero cals should be inhibited. They just clutter the log and take up space on your server. (I suspect this happens naturally when I'm uncertain whether the last sync worked and I do it again after taking zero steps but I haven't taken the time to test it..)

@bruce_ It's great to have you here! I've seen that this kind of activities appear in your Dashboard when your tracker goes into activity/sleep mode by accident by just 1 or 2 minutes so it doesn't have any calories burned, steps or distance. It doesn't mean that your tracker isn't tracking your steps, it's just that since it's going into sleep mode for a minute or two, there's no too much information that it can track.

You don't need to worry about this but you can change the sensitivity in your tracker in order to not have too many activities in your Dashboard, to do this:

- Go to your Dashboard

- Click on settings > Devices

- Sleep Tracking > Normal

This will avoid that your tracker goes into sleep mode too many times.
