Loseit Calorie Bonus is starting the morning with fitbit calorie burn that never happened

Hi, i have a versa 4 and loseit premium.  For the past few days, my calorie burn bonus area in loseit has been completely off...  it has started me first thing in the morning with between two and three hundred calories burned from fitbit, which is causing loseit to calculate my bonus calories before it should.  The weird thing is that fitbit doesn't show these calories anywhere, but loseit says the calories are coming from fitbit.   These are literally there showing in my calorie bonus section the moment I wake up in the morning.  I started the day today with 287 exercise calories added to my daily budget.  I've disconnected both devices and reconnected, and even bought a new fitbit yesterday thinking maybe mine was shot.... no change.  The number of calories under "current energy burned" for the day in loseit is like 400 calories more than what i've actually burned according to fitbit.  I've turned off and turned back on every setting I can think to change.  Nothing is working.

Fitbit has been aware of this problem since AUGUST 30. In the meantime, it is impossible to use Lose It with any accuracy. I've had Fitbits for years, but will be making a change to another brand if they can't fet it fixed soon.

I am experiencing the same problem. I have searched the Fitbit website and have found only one sentence saying that Fitbit may have issues syncing to third party apps. Nothing about loseit calorie burn bonus. Hope it’s fixed soon!!!

The folks at Lose It were the ones who told me that the problem was coming
from Fitbit. Unlike Fitbit, they actually respond to customer inquiries.

Just piling on as another fitbit + lose it user. Its been so annoying for the last week and a half or so. I have an inpsire 3, which has been so amazing up until about 2 weeks ago.

Fortunately things level out by the next morning, but there's no reason it should be reporting bonus's first thing in the morning.

Does anyone have that link that says 'track this ongoing issue here' ? Is there a page where loseit! or fitbit actually publicly acknowledge this issue?

This is the link to track the status. https://status.fitbit.com/incidents/D6j3uhKPGKKsJjNoxsp7

I've given up and ordered a Garmin tracker.

Clicked that link again — no change. They’ve been “investigating” this for 12 days 🙄

I've had the same issues seemingly since I updated my fitbit about a week ago. It's so frustrating as mine starts with a large calorie bonus at the beginning of the day and then changes throughout the day. There is no way to accurately guess what the true bonus will be at the end of the day.

Same here. Lose it says it's a fitbit problem
Frustrating as I ate way too much yesterday thinking I had loads of calories left but it had given me bonus calories I hadn't earned. Not helping me  with losing weight!

I have seen a couple of articles elsewhere recently about the fact that
Google is going to scale back support of all but the most high-end Fitbit
devices. It seems to me that they've already started.

I just finished a chat with Fitbit support and the person(I asked if they were a bot and they told me they were a real human being, but I’m not entirely sure] told me that it was going to take a couple of weeks before a fix would be applied. I told them it would be a courtesy to update the ticket you’ve linked above with that information so that users know they’re going to be dealing with this problem for at least a few more weeks.

Agreed this needs to be fixed. Fitbit’s customer service is lacking. On hold for a lengthy time then get someone who barely speaks English. I’m so tired of trying to explain issues to people who are clueless and just read the prompts from their screen. I’ve actually learned more coming to the Community Page. After MONTHS I actually get my Aria scale working and now my Lose-It app isn’t getting the proper calorie burn total. Come on Fitbit!  GET IT TOGETHER!

Thanks for that update. I'm trying to get a few pounds off before I leave
on vacation and don't have time for them to get their act together. My new
Garmin tracker arrives tomorrow. Bye, bye Fitbit.

Having an issue like this persist for weeks is really amazingly lousy. I never thought about buying an Apple Watch. Until this week.

Behold, the “calories adjustment snack.” (That is, assuming it’s not tracking incorrectly the rest of the day) 🤷🏻‍:male_sign:🙄
