Hi there! Can you please tell me why there is such a large discrepancy in my distance between map my run and my Blaze distances (almost a 1/4 mile per mile)? This throws off my pace record too. Also, when they sync up, the run logs twice. I can delete one of the runs on the Fitbit app, but it doesn't back out the calories with it. Help please !
Best AnswerI have tried tracking without beginning the timer at all (letting the blaze auto select) as well as with using the RUN option of the exercise timer/icon. I am using an IPhone 6 Plus.
Best AnswerLetting the auto detect do its thing will not record any distance.
When you used the run, did you use the connected GPS?

Welcome to our Community @Coach_JennyC, in addition to @Rich_Laue's information, is important to keep in mind a few thing about distance.
If you re letting that your tracker automatically detects your exercise, the distance is based on your stride length. Your tracker calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps and walking stride length. Similarly, your running steps are multiplied by your running stride length. This will not necessarily match a pre-measured distance, nor will it show exactly what a GPS route will display. For more information about stride lenght take a loo at this post shared by @Collin1000.
This will be different if you are using your exercise along with any GPS feature as Connected GPS or MobileRun. Since MapMyRun is going to take this information for your distance.
Additional to @Rich_Laue question, I wonder where is showing the duplicate exercise you have mentioned earlier on this thread? Is it MapMyRun or Fitbit?
