My Fitness Pal integration not resolved

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Although the thread was closed, the issue with meal calories being added twice has not been fully resolved. It appears that when a meal is entered, Fitbit adds it correctly, but if the meal is adjusted, Fitbit adds the adjusted amount into the total without removing the previous meal calorie amount. The meal is calculated both times into the overall calorie amount for the day. Today is shows two dinner summaries and two breakfast summaries. There appears to be no way to remove either duplicate on the Fitbit app from my ipad.

Hello @SoCal1, welcome to the Fitbit Community. well this issue has been resolved so I wonder if the calories logged thourgh MFP has the same amount of calories on on your Food section? If it does then is duplicating your logs otherwise if this is not the case I guess are different logs. Something you can try to fix this issues is to relink both of your accounts.

1. Sign into your Fitbit dashboard.
2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. On the left side of your screen click "Applications."
4. Under MyFitnessPal, click "Revoke Access."
5. You can then re-link the two accounts by going to http://www.fitbit.com/apps/myfitnesspal.

After relinking, you can verify that your accounts are syncing by using one of the following data points:

1. On Fitbit you can check for your meal summary and logged activities from MFP.
2. On MyFitnessPal, go to "My Home," then "Check-In." You should see your weight, Fitbit Steps, and Fitbit Sleep Minutes.

Hope it works and keep me posted if the issue persist.

To be more specific, as an example it takes the amount of one of my meal entries, as opposed to the full meal, and adds it as a second meal. At the end of the day, Fitbit may show two separate breakfast, lunch, or dinners listed. The second meal amount reflects just one of the meal entry’s calorie amount, as mentioned above. Most of the time it calculates correctly (though “correctly" is still generally off by one or two calories). But when it adds a meal entry of one or two hundred calories that I didn’t eat, it means there’s a technical glitch or bug in the system.

Hello @SoCal1, thank you for clarify this for me, I see what you are referring now. In this case note this the data that your fitbit account is receiving from MFP. So my previous suggestion stills apply on your case. Have you tried it already? Is probably as you mentioned, a glitch in the communication of both of the accounts. I just tested on my own using my accounts and the food was logged correctly.

If the issue persist even after re-associate your accounts please take a moment to reach out to our Support Team and let them know of your efforts to troubleshoot the issue and what you've already done. I have full faith that they will be able to advise you of the next steps.

I'll be around and wish you the best.
