MyFitnessPal Caloric Sync Calculation Error

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Fitbit is calculating my calories it syncs from MyFitnessPal incorrectly. It’s creating a “calorie summary” and adding the summary into the totals, making it look like I ate double of what I should.

Hello @LW8479, let me start by giving you warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. When MyFitnessPal and your Fitbit account are connected, you need to log your food only in one place to keep track of your calories correctly and this doesn't double your total numbers.

When you see a Calorie Summary like "Breakfast Summary" or "Dinner Summary" on your Fitbit Dashboard it means this is coming from your MFP account of a manually log entry.

My recommendation is, if you have MFP keep the food log exclusively here without creating logs in your Fitbit account and your Fitbit account exclusively for tracking exercise and food plan management. Give it a try and keep me posted if the Summary log still keep happening.

Hope this helps and feel free to let me know if you have additional questions.
