Hi All,
I log all my food via MFP and use to use my iPhone to track my steps. The last 2 days I am using a Fitbit Inspire HR and have synced with MFP, however am having an issue with extra calories?
Today I did 13,600 steps and Fitbit added 1,684 extra calories earned to my MFP.
Last week I did 9,600 steps and my iPhone only added 140 extra calories?
Can anyone explains what's up with this? The Fitbit data appears to be adding the wrong amount of extra calories to MFP. Surely 13,600 steps doesn't equate to 1684 extra calories to be eaten? This is also at the end of the day as I'm crawling into bed?
Anyone have any advice here please?

Hello @j90.
Thanks for sharing those details and explaining the situation.
In this case I'd think that it is important to keep in mind that the way your iPhone and Fitbit calculate calories is different, for one, Fitbit has access to your HR in the case of the Inspire HR and it also takes your BMR into consideration. Those factors could explain why the difference is so big. You can click here to read more about how calories are calculated by Fitbit.
Please let me know if there are any further questions.
