Please add a feature to the iPhone App to map runs.

I am using the new feature on the iPhone app that maps runs.  It seems to be interfering with the fitbit sync regarding number of steps and active minutes.  After using it for a 5 mile walk the number of steps shown on the dashboard was about 10% less than the number on the fitbit; the walk took 75 minutes but only 16 minutes of active time showed.

Any sugggestions?

Thanks

@lainieknits That's a great observation. Once you've completed your marathon, or hiked your mountain with the MobileRun program, the app logs your walk/run/hike as an activity. So all steps and calories recorded by your tracker are overridden for the duration of a manually logged activity by the activity's entered values. This includes your active minutes.

I highly recommend that you vote for this idea: Let Active Minutes accumulate simultaneously with Exercise in our Feature Requests forum. This is a great place to get the attention of Fitbit's developers. Happy stepping! :smileywink:
