Question about IFTT Sleep Action for ChargeHR (automatic tracking)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello FitBit Friends,

I am creating a reciepe in IFTTT that uses the "new sleep log" action in fitbir.

The idea is : when i go to sleep, turn off the lights.

The big question is : fitbit creates this "new sleep log" when I start sleeping, or when i finish my sleep (wake up)???

it's a big difference because i will end up turning off my lights in the morning instead of the night.

Thanks!

Hi @FcoArturo. That's a nice idea! One problem might be that for auto sleep tracking there is a 1 hour delay that the tracker needs to decide if you're sleeping. Also, it then needs to sync that data to the server while you're in bed, and so a nearby connection is needed. So from that it seems that at best 60 to 80 minutes will have passed from the moment you went to bed until the first lot of sleep data makes its way to their servers (if it can sync).
