Until about noon today, FitBit was logging meals from LoseIt just perfectly. It suddenly stopped. I couldn't find anything obviously wrong, so I figured I'd just disconnect and reconnect. Disconnect went fine. I cannot figure out how to reconnect. I'm under Settings -> Applications, and there's just nothing explaining how to give access to another account.

Hello @Gwydionmom.
Thanks for trying to disconnect and connect it again before posting.
To connect other apps to Fitbit you have to do it through the other app's settings. You can find instructions on how to troubleshoot the connection and how to connect them by clicking here.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

I never heard of that app

I am not trying to get LoseIt to read data from FitBit. I want FitBit to read data from LoseIt.
I cannot (and do not) want to add my FitBit to LoseIt because that requires a Premium Membership. I want FitBit to access LoseIt's data. Only. This was working perfectly until noon yesterday.

Hello @Gwydionmom and @petersen1657.
@petersen1657 I'm afraid I don't understand what you are referring to.
@Gwydionmom, In order for Fitbit to access data from another app they have to be synced together. At that point, each app is set up to work in a specific way and it could be that Lose It is set up so that it only works when you have a Premium Membership. I'd recommend that you try getting in touch with them directly in this case.
Look forward to your reply.

No, I don't need a premium membership to do this. I didn't have one before, and there's nothing on their site to indicate that anything has changed. See the chart here: https://help.loseit.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006447268-Using-Fitbit-with-Lose-It-
All that was syncing before was food/calories, and that's all that I want to happen now. As I said in my original post, it was working perfectly, and then stopped.
This is a FITBIT problem, not a LoseIt problem. If you don't know the answer, please tell me who to contact that does.

Hello @Gwydionmom.
As I mentioned before, these integrations are not developed by Fitbit. As such we do not control what information goes through since we do not create the integration. As consequence, we are not able to examine the way the connection is set up and why it stopped or changed. The ones who implemented the integrations, Lose It, are the only ones who can check on it and make changes as to how the information moves between the two.
Hope this clarifies the situation. Feel free to reach out with any further questions

Right. You could just admit that you don't know and find someone who does.
It was a 2-3 years ago that I set this up, but I know darn well that I had to give permission on both ends for it to work, and the app getting the data had to send the request.
So apparently Fitbit broke it on their end. Great. You might want to reconsider all the directions that say to disconnect the app, since it's impossible to reconnect it.

Hey @Gwydionmom.
Whenever an integration is developed, Fitbit's API is used to establish a connection between Fitbit and whatever third party is being connected. On that principle, if other apps are working properly and not experiencing an issue we can say that the API is working as intended and nothing hasn't changed at all. As such, it could be that the information is not being updated on the other end. I've even seen cases when it is related to the app version being used. If said app is not on the latest version it wouldn't do the process correctly. Maybe you could also check that you are using the latest version of the Lose It app.
Feel free to reach out with any further questions.
