Ring Doorbell app on my Android recently updated and now I no longer get the app notifications on my Fitbit. I've checked the Fitbit app and it is still set to send the notifications

Hi, try this:
1. Remove the Ringbel app from your watch via the Fitbit app.
2. Update the Fitbit app if there is an update available in the Play Store.
3. Restart your phone and watch.
4. Reinstall Fitbit app again and install the Ringbel app again.
5. Set it to notify you on your watch in the notifications.
Hope this helps and works for you, regards kuzibri

Same thing has happened to me. I've updated, uninstalled, re installed, un ticked, ticked and it's still not coming through. I'm getting a message on my phone but it's not sending it through to my fitbit versa like it used to ????

I am having the same problem. I contacted Fitbit and Ring and did troubleshooting with both and nothing works. It worked fine up until last week and then it just stopped. No one seems to want to help. They just send people back and forth. Its frustrating.

I honestly think the issue is with fitbit as it stopped working after a big update. The notification from the Ring Door bell is getting to my phone it's just not being passed on by the fitbit app.

Just spent the last couple of hours with Ring.Com technical support and went through several possible fixes.... none of them worked... they advised that they have had multiple calls about the last update to ring (3.18.0) and they say it appears to be a problem on Fitbit's end... they also had customers advise them that Fitbit was aware of the problem.... lets hope they get if fixed soon!!

@ct042616, @jaktar , @Czza , @SND2019 I am moving this thread to the Third Party Integrations forum. It is a better fit. You might get an answer there.

I too have this issue. It worked fine up until recently. I have contacted Ring and they said as the notifications are coming through to my phone, it must be a problem on Fitbits side. They have advised me today to contact Fitbit customer sevices and ask them to check if the new update is compatable with my Fitbit. I'll post here if I find a solution.

FYI
This is the response I have had from Fitbit. I have a Samsung S10 Plus.
"The reason why you received the app notifications before because the Bluetooth of your phone matches the device's Bluetooth but the software of the phone is not yet supported meaning you will experience feature related issues. Because your phone or tablet is not fully compatible with Fitbit devices, we can't guarantee syncing and other Fitbit features.
We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models."
They also provided a link and as they say above, my phone isn't fully compatible.

That reply is generic rubbish because they don't have an answer! I've not changed my phone for 18 months & it's been fine all that time. Fitbit do an update & it's no longer working for us & many others no doubt?? 🤔

I have the S8Plus which is on the list and mine still doesnt work, so it's not the phone. I agree, they cant figure out the issue.

I too have this issue. It worked before an update. Now it doesn't. I really hate it because I really like getting motion notifications on my fitbit when I'm at work. Also tried numerous troubleshooting steps (uninstalling and reinstalling apps, resetting both to factory, etc.) with no resolve. Everything is on latest version.

I was having this same issue and of course Fitbit support was no help!
I deleted the fitbit & ring apps.
Disconnected my fitbit from bluetooth.
Re-downloaded fitbit and ring - log in.
After deleting my fitbit from the app, I re-setup it up to the bluetooth and fitbit app.
Received notification from Ring, and was able to add it to app notifications in fitbit.
