I cannot sync my Fitbit/Strava since yesterday.. this is very frustrating when wanting to compare activities.. I have teed disconnecting and re connecting accounts with no joy... please give me some insight?

Hi Siobhan, can you provide more details on how did you disconnect and reconnect the apps? The proper way to disconnect is by revoking the Strava + Fitbit app from both your Strava and Fitbit accounts.
For Fitbit account on the website you need to go to settings -> applications, find Fitbit+Strava app and click Revoke Access.
For Strava is pretty similar go to settings -> My apps -> revoke access. Settings menu can be accessed from top right corner on the web site under the small icon with your profile picture.
After disconnecting from both accounts you can go to strava.fitbit.com and reauthorise the application making sure you that for Fitbit you always allow access to your profile among other options (allow all - recommended).
