Sync with Strava reports incorrect time

I have found that exercise time reported from Fitbit to Strava is reporting the incorrect information. 
example. I cycled an event where my time was 3h14 as per Fitbit as well as the event timing but when uploaded to Strava the time is 3h53!

how can this be fixed

Have you paused your ride tracking at any time? It could result in wrong time in Strava. I don't think you cam fix it though.
