Syncing Fitbit Steps to HealthMate App (Withings Scale)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have the Fitbit Versa, and recently purchased a Withings Scale. I have been able to get the weight to sync from the scale to the Fitbit app, but I have been unable to get the steps to sync from Fitbit to the HealthMate (Withings scale) app. I'm not the most tech savvy person but I have read hours worth of stuff online and nothing is solving the problem. It's making me wish I'd bought the Nokia scale. Help!

You will need to contact healthmate or ask their community board. Fitbit has nothing to do with what they choose to sync.

No. It's interesting. My weight syncs from the withings app to fitbit, but the steps do not sync from fitbit to the withings app. I've tried everything that has been recommended.

What did healthmate say after contacting them @ChapelHillBetsy?

I did some research for you and found this link that may help.

There is info on their Switch to Healtmate feature. It sounds like to get steps from Fitbit you will need to manually trigger it.

I'm trying this now. Hopefully it will work.

I'm wondering if it would be easier to synch my Fitbit with Apple Health and then Apple Health to Withings Healthmate. Any ideas or suggestions?

I am in the same situation, I like the Withings Scale but think that they (Withings) just don’t want to be able to sync your Fitbit steps back to Withings. They would much rather we all purchased Withings trackers instead 😫
I’m completely frustrated by the whole thing really and have kind of given up trying (unless someone knows better).

When does a scale count steps.

@marval the syncing of the steps is handled by Withings, not by fitbit.

Follow the link I provided in my last post. Withings States that it is a manual process and mainly intended for when a user is switching from a fitbit tracker to a Withings tracker.

So yes when a user wants to import steps from fitbit to Withings, they will have to do the manual import that Withings has provided.

This is the only option Withings has given us.

Thank you Rich, I have carried out the manual importing of stamps to the Withings app but as you mentioned this is only a one time process so if I want to keep tracking steps with my Fitbit the two apps won't stay in sync. Thats the frustrating thing but if I just accept that I can track my weight in the Withings app which does sync across the the Fitbit then track all the other info in the Fitbit app.

Thanks for your message.

This sync is outside of fitbit's control. Any changes will need to be done by Withing. It however looks like they would like their users to use their trackers.
