Syncing With Strava

Hi, I've been online and authorised syncing of my FitBit with my Strava account. None of my previous Strava runs or rides are showing up on FitBit app and my recent FitBit activity isn't showing up on Strava.

Is this normal and will only 'post sync' exercise show up on both ? Thx

Hi @TangoKen

Moved this thread from the Alta to the Third-Party Integrations section since more relevant to the topic & increases the chance of getting a solution.

Hello @TangoKen, welcome aboard to our community. In this case note that your previous activities already logged before the association with your Fitbit account wont be share with strava. But after you have complete this successfully, activities from Strava should be synced over to Fitbit as manually logged activities but will not include GPS or heart rate data from Strava.

Hope this give you some help, otherwise keep me posted.

Thanks for the move Mystique

Thanks Roberto, but the problem was down to my own stupidity. I hadn't realised that I needed to manually track and start Fitbit on my phone. That will teach me not to read the instructions 😉
It tracked and synced perfectly on this morning's dog walk.

Hello @TangoKen, It's ok. No worries my friend. It happens to me all the time, I don't like to read instructions or manuals either. The good news here is that now your activities are syncing. Robot Very Happy

See you around and happy stepping.

OK.... I'm still experiencing a problem with syncing, which I don't think is my doing this time ?

Yesterday morning, I tracked my 2.5 mile dog walk, which as soon I held the finish button, automatically created a map and time/distance details on both Fitbit and Strava. Without changing any settings, I tracked my 4.3 mile afternoon walk and held the finish button, which created a map of the walk on Fitbit, but the time/distance details appear to be created in a separate walk, commencing 1 minute after the one that mapped.
The mapped one has a message in red "Not Synced" and when tapped gives me the option to "Try Again To Sync", but just times out without syncing !

Again, without changing any settings, I mapped this morning's 2.8 mile walk, which synced correctly with both Fitbit and Strava.

Any ideas ?

This afternoon's 2.8 miles synced straight across too, so it's not an issue with multiple uploads in a day !

Hi,

I have a Surge and have followed all of the instructions to link to my strava account but none of the data is going across. I have revoked the access and reset the link up again a number of times and it still wont work.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Tom

@TomShannon There was a recent issue with activities syncing over to Strava. Syncing might be slow for a little while as it catches up, but the integration should be working properly again. Robot Happy

Ditto... problems here too. Last two activities not synced. 15 hours and counting. Reset link between Fitbit and strava and not update

20 hours later and no sign of yesterday's activity on Strava.

Surely it would've been prudent & customer friendly to have put out a bulk email telling your customers of the issue, instead of leaving everyone in the dark.

There is an auto track feature as it auto tracks my cycling activity & I think it did with my last walk too. Check the settings in the Strava app.
