Not directly from the current mobile app. If you visit the website, then you can:
- Login to your dashboard
- Click the friends dashlet bottom right arrow (or bookmark https://www.fitbit.com/friends )
- Drill down to a specific friend's profile page
- View the 30-day graph of steps, provided your device has Flash support
Needless to say this is less than ideal. Especially if trying to do it from an iOS device which does not display the Flash based graphs. One solution there is to use a browser like Puffin ( http://www.puffinbrowser.com ) which lets you see Flash content even when the device does not support it.
I've looked at the developer APIs, and the calls to get friends data include daily counts for the last 7 days so this really wouldn't be hard for them to expose on that page. For example, with some variety of selector on the top to determine your preference for seeing current day, 7 days (what it does now), or steps since Monday, or whatever.
I even use to toy with the idea of making my own app to do that. But I always ended up deciding to go for a walk instead! They have been enhancing the mobile app significantly though. And this seems (to me!) to be an obvious enhancement that would please many people and not take much effort on their end.
But I certainly don't speak for them. I'm just a user too, who also happens to be a developer besides.
