UHC Motion and Charge 4

Am told the Charge 4 is compatible with the UHC Motion app.  The most recent version of the UHC Motion app says that the Charge 4 is now compatible.  Purchased a Charge 4 today.  Can’t find how to download the UHC Motion app to my Charge 4.  Would like to start using it to track my steps for the UHC Motion program.  Please help me figure this out.

@Texastoad It's nice to see you on the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I'm glad to hear that the United Health Care app is now compatible with Charge 4. At the moment, UHC Motion app can't be installed on your tracker. However, you may want to ask them for more information about how to pair it with the Wellness Program.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

So why is UHC pushing the charge 4? They emailed me to upgrade. I used my UHC reward dollars to upgrade to the charge 4 only to find out i can't use it with UHC motion. Fitbit needs to let UHC know they no longer support UHC motion. I will be sending back the charge 4 as it is useless without the UHC motion app.

This is was an interesting process. I had to work with UHC Motion to finally get my Charge 4 connected to UHC Motion. As it turned out, I needed to restart both apps and then wait for a Fitbit update. Was able to connect on Friday.

What do you mean you had to "work with UHC motion"? How did you get the app on your charge 4?

Just got OTA update from fitbit. I now have the UHC app on my charge 4. 😁

Can you share a little about what you had to do to get your UHC app to appear as an app for fitbit?

I opened the UHC motion app on my phone and used the contact us link, sent an email to UHC referencing the issue and this thread and asking them to make the app available through the Fitbit app. I never got a response but got the update through the fitbit app the next day. My phone is a samsung galaxy s9, rooted with magisk and running Adaway, which was also causing connection issues. Found on another thread to disable Adaway. So i'm not sure whether or not the issue is related to the rooting or not. I still have Adaway disabled for now.

I ended up calling their support and their support person walked me through the process.  The charge 4 ended up needing a firmware update which added the uhc motion features. Took some time to do but the support person was extremely helpful.

I was able to have UHC Motion (wellness program) added to my Charger 2. I would be able to scroll to get to the FIT screen on my wristwatch. Would want the same feasibility now with the Charger 4.
