Unable to connect Fitbit to Virgin Pulse due to Google login failure

I am trying to (for the first time) connect my Fitbit app to my Virgin Pulse app. I have an android (Pixel 5). I signed up for my Fitbit account through one of my google accounts. During the "connect Fitbit <--> Virgin Pulse" process, after I have put my google username and password in, it goes to MFA. I had confirm "yes, it's me" and then the next screen I get is "something went wrong". I never get to see any numbers to complete the authentication. I would really prefer not to have to create a brand new account on Fitbit because I don't want another different username and password to remember. Please advise.

I have the same problem. VirginPulse created a ticket per my request, but they cannot help me. "Something went wrong" doesn't say much. What went wrong? Why?

I am having the same problem. Pixel 8 Pro, will no longer connect Virgin Pulse to Fitbit, says Something went wrong when trying to log in

I was having the same issue. I was told to connect via the desktop site instead of the app.

This worked in theory, meaning I didn't get the error and it looks like I'm connected. But none of the data is syncing.

been having this issue myself, which stinks because VP is what I use to get my points for health programs for benefits from my employer, fitbit better fix this soon.

Same,  I went through the process on my desktop. First verifying that my fitbit was migrated over to my google account and then trying again to sync the fitbit through VirginPulse and this time it worked and my points are updating. I just had to wait for the ghost in the machine to take a nap I guess.

I also went through the website and got Fitbit linked again. It's not
syncing yet, but I'll give it more time
