Before getting the FORCE, I used RunKeeper app to track my runs and bike rides (both outdoors and treadmill/stationary bikes). I use that app over MapMyRun (which partnes with Fitbit) because it also syncs with MyFitnessPal (which MapMyRun does not). If I go for a run and track it with RunKeeper, how does that not double log that workout on the FitBit? Getting all these things to sync together seems to be very difficult.

I've used Runkeeper for ages & linked it to Fitbit, and only recently started using My Fitness Pal. The Runkeeper stuff doesn't double log because when Fitbit & Runkeeper are linked, Fitbit feeds Runkeeper (like updating your fitness feed there with your calorie burn & weight) and not the other way around. Nothing from Runkeeper feeds into Fitbit.
Now that I've linked all three my active minutes seems to be suffering, but I've noticed a lot of people with the same complaint and so I'm not sure it's a problem with the links, but possibly something going on here on Fitbit.

From what I've read, you want to use myfitnesspal as the hub. Sync fitbit and runkeeper to myfitnesspal, but do not link runkeeper and fitbit.

I agree it seems best to use MFP as the hub. As a way to see if it double counts I have let Runkeeper sync to MFP which then syncs my run to Fitbit. I look at the calories after that is done and then delete the MFP activity to see if the calories change. There is usually a very slight change in total calories for the day but it isn't material.
