Given fitbit's bizarre decision not to support IOS 8 healthkit has anyone found a workaround to get steps into the Health app.
I have worked out you can get Weight from the Aria into health app by using MyFitnessPal (synced with fitbit) but is doesn't sync Steps. I have started using sleep cycle for my sleep recording and abandoned using fitbit for this because it syncs to Health app.
I have even tried using IFTTT. Sending steps to Up. The UP app syncs with health app. However I can't seem to get it to work.
My question is. Anyway to get steps into health app

or all of those that do not like the fitbits will not be playing with apple healthkit maybe this will answer some questions for you. Apple can't control operating systems for computers so they will now try for something else. More power to fitbit. Maybe apple should stop trying to takeover everything. Would be funny to find they broke contract with fitbit and fitbit takes it to court and wins big evil grin. Apple is the ones playing dirty, they have used fitbit to keep them in the going while awaiting the production to begin on thier own units.

Craig. Thank you for your reply. It is always important to look at a situation from another point of view.I suppose you could argue that fitbit are being brave.
However I am an average user. I love fitbit. I want them to stay around. I also want to use the Health app. From my perspective this decision is foolish and is taken from a position of fear in an attempt to defend their ecosystem. I have been an extremely happy user of fitbit products for 2 years. When it comes to my next purchasing decision however I suspect I will want something that syncs with healthkit.
