ifttt action for logging body fat?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently started using Google Home and have an applet set up that I can use with Google Assistant to log my weight to fitbit. I did this using an existing fitbit action at ifttt.com, called "Log your weight." Curiously, this is the only action listed on ifttt for fitbit. (There are many fitbit triggers but just this one action.)

I'm finding this much more convenient than logging in to a web site and entering the number. It seems a no-brainer to be able to do the same thing for body fat percent, which I'm also tracking. But fitbit doesn't appear to have an action for this on ifttt. How to create?

Hello @rtoews, good to see you here again. Note that this integrations and how it works are not developed by us, but by the third party who is using our API. For IFTTT, only this function works with Fitbit and IFTTT uses various data points as "triggers" for the IFTTT service:

  • Daily activity summary
  • Daily step goal achieved
  • Daily distance goal achieved
  • Daily floors climbed goal achieved
    • This is only available for trackers that track floor counts
  • Daily very active minutes goal achieved
  • Daily goal not achieved
  • New weight logged
  • New sleep logged
  • Sleep duration above
    • Trigger fires every time your logs for sleep are above the target hours specified
  • Sleep duration below
    • Trigger fires every time your logs for sleep are below the target hours specified

For additional infomration take a look at the following post: Third Party Apps - Informational Post.

Hope this information helps and let me know if you have additional questions.
