is anyone using MyFitnessPal with Fitbit?

Loving my FitBit but one thing I'm having challenges with is connecting MyFitnessPal caloric intake data with Fitbit.   I like using the MFP screen cap of UPC codes feature - but can't figure out why it wont transfer the data over to Fitbit.

Any ideas?

Did you link the two accounts?  If not, then go to the MFP site, then click on the apps tab.  Scroll down until you find FitBit and click on that.  On the FitBit page at the right you will see a button to buy and then below it in small print is a link to connect the accounts.  Don't click on the button but on the connect link.  Follow instructions and the two accounts should link.

Mo account is synced according to both fitbit and my fitness pal, but my food and activities are not showing up in my fit bit dashboard ??

Calories will show, but individual foods won't. You can see individual starts on each food in MyFitnessPal. Hope this helps.

MFP ?

I am having the same issue. MFP shows my fitbit activity adjustment but the fitbit dash or app does not show any info on food or calories, i.e. says I still can eat a full day's worth of food. On a similar theme, my digifit dash shows my fitbit info but again my fitbit shows nothing. Anyone have a fix?

Hi

Does any one know where MFP get the calories burned for the fitbit ajustment calories and how it works?

I think it's the differnce between the calories your body automatically burns and the calories you actually burn. So if you workout your calories burned will be higher and MFP will give you this as additional calories in their calculations. They show up on the bottom of the page on MFP.

I log all my food on MFP because the database seems more extensive to me. Your fitbit app will just show your meal calories as a group rather than what specifically you ate (i.e breakfast 400 calories). You can do it on fitbit too if you prefer. Just make sure to only enter on one or the other.

Make sure all of your apps are synced with each other. I had a hard time making this work but one day it just worked. Also make sure after you log something in MFP, you sync your fitbit up with your app. Hope this helps!

Since linking my Fitbit to MFP my step count is WAY off. I could walk 4 steps and it counts 50! Same with calories burned. I could still be lying in bed and it says Ive burned 600 calories and I haven't even put my feet on the floor yet. Help!!
