I am extremely disappointed that the functionality to control Spotify that I had on my original Versa is not available on my new and expensive Versa 4. This feature is mandatory during my workouts and I am seriously considering returning the Versa 4 unless Fitbit enabled this feature.

I had the Versa 2 and I was never able to control Spotify while it was tracking a workout.

The Versa 4 doesn't have Spotify capabilities at all.

Hi @SteveRD99 - the Versa 4 has no music capabilitiy which applies to Spotify as @LissaxKristine has mentioned.

The ability to control music (not even Spotify, just from my phone) is imperative to me in a smartwatch. I just submitted a return for the Versa 4. I'm so sad about it! I've always really loved my Fitbits, but I'll need to find another brand if music control isn't available.

@LissaxKristine What the original poster was saying is that he could run Spotify on his phone and still pause and change songs on his Versa 2 via the Music Controls functionality. I do it all the time with my Sense and have done it in the past on my Versa 2. Unfortunately, all music controls have been removed from the Sense 2 and Versa 4.
With the Sense and Versa 2/3, you could set up Music Controls as a long press shortcut on your buttons and that would allow you to control music while having a workout going on your device at the same time. It is really quite handy and I'm disappointed it was removed entirely for the Sense 2/Versa 4.

Google has taken over from Fitbit. All new features on the versa 4 and sense 2 will be added in 2023, possibly music features. The watch has only came out recently but was already made by Fitbit not google.

@Gcc0106- it is likely there will be so few users of the Sense 2 and Versa 4 that it won't matter what happens in 2023 or 2024 or after. People who got rid of it now won't be coming back. People who bought the watch want it working on the watch now not potentially in 6 months to a year or more.
Where do you get this information from?

I had music control on the versa, and I had music control on the verse 2. Once I lost my ability to control Spotify on the verse 4 I will return the device. Will no longer return to Fitbit. Don't manufacture and selling device unless it's ready. Removing important functions like music control is one of the reasons most people actually buy these devices.
