Bring back the music controls

Hi - customer service told me this was how I can give fitbit feedback. I upgraded from a versa 2 because i wanted more battery life and just found out this versa 4 can't support my music which is pretty awful. I really enjoyed that feature on my watch and it's a dealbreaker for me. I'll try it another few weeks and maybe i can be swayed if it does something special, but if it doesn't I'm going back to my versa 2 and this thing is going back to Costco. I sincerely hope you all reconsider - it never feels good to lose a feature on a new device.

Unfortunately, Fitbit removed the 3rd party apps from the Sense 2 and Versa 4, as to putting them in the Google Pixel Watch. If you would like such watch with these 3rd Party apps, check out the Google Pixel Watch.

Do note that Google Pixel may not support spotify…

I was very disappointed to find that out too when I did the same thing. My Versa 2 got to the point it wouldn’t hold a charge anymore. Since I loved the Versa2 I figured I would go with the best Versa. I get the no 3rd party thing, but they could make their own feature for playing music!! I didn’t have a 3rd party app on the 2 yet I controlled my music thru it all the time. Seems like since they were bought out they want everyone to switch to the other brand so they are taking away features. At least that’s what it feels like!!

Hi all, on board music support is being removed this month across all Fitbits. It's a direction Fitbit has chosen.

A Versa 3 still has built in music Controls, which can control any music playing on the phone without needing any app or premium subscription. And other apps can be installed if necessary.

Other makes have full music support and long battery life, which a Pixel doesn't.

My versa 3 had pandora one day and not the next. Changing the ability to listen to my music apps while I run is a game changer. I will not buy a new watch with any affiliates of this company to retrieve a feature I originally bought this watch for. Making that change for new watches is one thing but removing it from current users is poor service.

Why not pandora? I already pay for that subscription and don’t wNt to add Spotify as another subscription.
