Can't set up notifications on my Versa 4

I have a Fitbit Versa 4.  When I initially setup the watch and connected to my phone, I didn't want to have text and calls to my phone.  Now I am unsure how to set up the text and calls.  My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 android.  When I go to bluetooth on the phone, Versa 4 is listed and when I try to choose it a message comes up saying an app is needed to use this device.  What app do I need?

When I go to connected devices, I chose call and text on other devices just now.  Please help!

Hi there, @Kiakitty. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out. 

Please try the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.
  • Set up notifications again. 
  • Once your Versa 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again. 

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hello,

 

I have now paired my fitbit to my phone.  The thing I have not been able to do is answer the phone on my watch.  I push to answer but it doesn't work so I end up answering on the phone.
