Crazy high floor counts

For context: I work from home, I'm not very active, and I'm rarely outside.  My house is 2 stories and I realistically go up the stairs 3-5 times on a normal day.

With this said, I would love to know how my Versa 4 counts me hiking up 118 floors on a day when I got 3,567 steps.  It's like my Fitbit thinks all of my steps are either going up or down stairs!

I know this is a just a sensor that can be swayed by air pressure, but I don't understand how that many shifts in air pressure can occur unless it's just calibrated weird and it's sensing when I reach up for something... And even then, I don't know what I'd be reaching up for.

This happens every day, too.  Today I'm up to 197 floors. Even when I don't leave the house. There are mornings when I wake up and I've already registered 20 floors.

I've had this watch for about 15 months and have tried everything I could think of.  I'm now just at a point of wanting to figure this out for curiosity's sake and possibly helping me decide if I want to try a new brand of smart watch.

HI @ktracy2002 - if you did a restart, and a factory reset (not without risk) and neither fixed it your watch may have a fault.

However as the floor count doesn't affect any other measurements it can basically be ignored.
