Feedback about Versa 4

I've had a Versa 2 for the past couple years and it's been great. Rock solid reliable and the battery still lasts for about a whole week. I've been thinking the past few days about upgrading to Versa 4 for the GPS and voice calling ability. But after coming here and reading about all the issues and problems with it, I'm not so sure. Is anybody here having good luck with it?

Hi,

I just purchased the Versa 4 and so far, so good. I had the Fitbit Blaze and the Samsung Galaxy 2. I purchased the Versa 4 after a recommendation from a friend.

let us know if you can get Google Wallet to work on it... so far, that seems to be broken for most people on the Versa 4 or Sense 2

I agree with everything you said there. Wish I had my Versa 2. The 4 just stopped working, won't sync or connect to the same phone I've had. Just a terrible rubbish wristband. I will never buy a Fitbit ever again. 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT purchase the Versa 4, stick with the Versa 2/3. The only reason I’m stuck with this fitness tracker, no it’s not a smartwatch, is because my Versa 2 would no longer hold a charge. My mom, lovingly thought she was upgrading for me and purchased the Versa 4 as my Christmas present. Edit does absolutely nothing that the prior models still currently do… no assistant, no music controls, can’t play Spotify or even store music, also,  even though I have the function to take calls from my watch it NEVER works, it will not connect to my cellphone.  It also came with a @free six month premium trial”, which mine just ended last night at midnight, and I was charged, without authorization given, for Fitbit premium and will not be refunded now…even though I don’t even bother using premium because there’s nothing there to use now that Google acquired Fitbit. I’m thinking of just selling it on eBay for $50 and moving with entice else to an Apple iWatch.

I have had 5 Fitbits over the past years. I loved them all until I purchased a Versa 4.  Since the day I purchased and set it up, I knew I was going to have issues.  The Fitbit needs to be reconnected to Bluetooth multiple times a day, which causes important phone calls and texts to be missed.  I contacted Fitbit immediately and was given numerous suggestions….to no avail.  After 4 months of dealing with what I thought was a defective Versa 4, Fitbit finally replaced it….guess what I have had it for less than a week, and it disconnects several times a day.  SO FRUSTRATING!!!!  Don’t buy the Versa 4 if you are used to the dependability of the other Fitbits!!

I have had the same issues!!!  Fitbit eventually exchanged with a new Versa 4, same issues of disconnecting multiple times a day!!!  So frustrating for the money spent!!!

I had versa for years but battery doesn't last as long anymore so I bought a versa 4 - definitely not an upgrade.  I use to have a 3rd party app that gives a screen light like a torch.....loved it and very handy.  No 3rd party apps are available with the versa 4 apparently.  Wish I never got it.  Didn't know about the refund thing and it is too late now.

Not happy at all. Went from a Charge 4 to this. Beautiful color display obviously is better than the black & white Charge 4. But near constant daily syncing issues, rarely gives info for all 5 Health Metric stats consistently-usually only 3 or 4 of them, sleep score wrong 25% of the time, app shows more steps than the device until syncing-which takes forever a lot of times. Constantly having to turn off Bluetooth, reboot Versa 4 etc is not the answer. As of right now this thing refuses to sync..again. Wish MS would have stuck with and improved the Band...

Had a Charge 5 for about 18 months until a recent swim RIP'd it.  I loved it; felt like it had the right amount of features for my needs (well I never needed the GPS; always had phone with me).  I just wanted Google Pay (not fitbit pay).  Google Pay after 2 weeks of owning the Versa 4 still isn't working for me.  it's really frustrating.

Also, the clock faces are a dumpster fire.  I just want 1 with a main face that shows Time/Date, daily Steps and daily AZM in just a simple minimal design.  Instead we have like 150 clock faces that look like animal crossing and tell me SpO2.  For those of you that want to see SpO2 I'm genuinely happy for you and don't want to ruin your party.  But like, I'm not at a point where managing that metric specifically is going to yield the greatest ROI right now.   So here I am, unless I want to join Fitbit Premium I can't use the watch the way I want.  I mean, it's fine.  I don't get healthier because of the watch, I get healthier because of my activity.

The Versa 4 works fine.  the tracking part seems to be as good as the charge.  But do I feel good about the purchase?  NOPE.

Yes the clock face choice sucks. I have one that I like now but the stats are tiny. Wallet doesn't work. I feel bad about purchase as well.

Wish I’d just bought another Versa 3! 4 is junk! Nothing but problems! Doesn’t stay synced. Goes back to initial set up every time! No help from Fitbit! I called support and wanted a refund! They said they’d send me a box to return it to them in, no box yet! & no refund!!!

GPS is not fit for purpose in my experience . I wish I’d gone for the 3 which my OH has . His GPS works every time . My steps & distance are always way below his on exactly the same runs 😖 it’s very frustrating

I am really liking Versa4- the changes brought about by google not so much.
I have to confess- at first I didn’t read all the directions, so when small things went wrong, I was frustrated, but then it would turn out a lot of times fixes were quick and easy. I only wish he was available during water lock mode. My movements were recorded but not HR so I know that calorie burn was inaccurate on those ocessikns.

Then you don't have a very good friend.  There's no way I would recommend a Versa 4 to anyone.

Same here!! I have loved my Fitbit devices in the past years and was so excited about the Versa 4. I’m having the same issues. I have missed calls and texts because it will NOT stayed connected to my Bluetooth. Forget even answering phone calls. I am now thinking of going to Apple!! I think it would be more reliable than this and I need to be able to count on a reliable smart watch. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

I did purchase an Apple Watch prior to this, but hated that the battery only lasted a day, so decided to go back to Fitbit….bad decision!!!   So very disappointing!!!

I had a Versa 1 for 6 years and LOVED it. I've had a Versa 4 for one year and mostly dislike it. I only get about 40% of my notifications, 30% of my calls, and half the features don't work or haven't been enabled yet. Connecting Google maps doesn't work, SpO2 app was removed only works with the right clock face and a sleep cycle, Calls on Wrist is spotty, Weather app only has data for the last time it synced which is useless, and it all of a sudden started rebooting every time Bluetooth tries to connect.

I've spent hours combing these messages to get solutions to get my Versa 4 to work well 50% of the time. I've done all the tricks of deleting the app, resetting the watch 15 times, resetting the watch to factory default, clearing all Bluetooth data, leaving the app open all the time, etc.

I will say this, what the Versa 4 does well is display the time, my steps, my heartrate and sit on my wrist comfortably. But my $20 Wyze smartwach does that too.
