Fitbit Versa 4 screen not responding

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I connected my Versa 4 yesterday to charge the battery and when I put the watch back on my wrist, I noticed the screen was not operating correctly. I found that turning the screen on would only stay on for a second and shut off when I tried to touch it to change the image. I tried changing the screen back to an original Fitbit screen and restarted the Fitbit with no luck.

Does anyone have any other advice on what to try? As I said, this just started yesterday and I have had this Versa 4 since approximately August of last year.

Thank you for any advice.

Hi @Denjar68 - did you pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and check they haven't changed accidentally.

However it does sound like watch fault and to make sure, it may need to be factory reset (not without risk)

If you can't do it through the menu you can chat via the Fitbit App, Help & support section, Contact Customer support, to get help doing it with the button.

It is a good idea to make a note of the names of any clocks and any special watch or app settings you use before the reset or replacement if necessary and still under warranty.

Guy,

I cannot pull down on the watch face as it doesn't detect my touch, and when I do push the side button to turn on the face, it shuts off immediately and I am unable to do anything from that perspective either.

@Denjar68- thanks, unfortunately your only option is to try the factory reset but if it is a watch fault, it may fail to do that or if it does you may not be able to set it up again. Sync first if you can to capture any remaining data on the watch.

Guy,

I just worked with Chat on trying to get a factory reset completed and the watch wouldn't even go through the first step. It was decided a replacement is needed. Thank you again for your help!

Thank you for the response. Sadly, I cannot even pull down on the screen as
it doesn't seem to recognize my touching it, so I cannot access the
settings via the watch.

@Denjar68 - thanks, hope the replacement goes well. If the watch got wet, touchscreen, button and charge issues are a common consequence or it just developed a fault.
