GPS Stopped working Versa 4

Hi, just wanted to check if anyone else has been having problems with their GPS on the versa 4?! It suddenly stopped this week and didn't record properly (with the map view) and didn't link to Strava.

When i first got it a month ago I connected to GPS smoothly, no problems, all runs and bike rides outside were showing up on Strava and on the Fitbit app with the map view. Until this week when I completed a run and it was short time before I got to my phone and synced the watch. Normally as soon as I am near my phone it will sync with no problems. Ever since this run on Thursday nothing is syncing with Strava and no map views are coming up on the Fitbit app. Which leads me to believe that the GPS signal has gone?!

I have tried everything from disconnecting my watch to the apps, logging out, turning off bluetooth, taking off the access to strava, waiting while my phone was off and manually logging another exercise in hope it'll be pushed through. Nothing has worked and its driving me mad. I even went for a walk today and no map view of the walk was available on Fitbit app.

I don't know what to do, HELP!

Hello, I am here to solve the problem of the GPS not working. If you are near trees, they might delay the GPS connection time. Follow these instructions give from Fitbit:

  • Charge your device to at least 80%, as built-in GPS can cause the battery to drain more quickly.
  • Go outside; then connect to GPS and start your exercise. To make sure the GPS connection is stable, you can wait up to 30 seconds after you see "Connected" on your device's screen to tap the play icon

    and begin moving.
  • For Fitbit devices, sync your device regularly with the Fitbit app (at least once every 24 hours) to reduce the time it takes for the built-in GPS sensors to connect to GPS satellites. Make sure the location permission for the Fitbit app on your phone is always allowed. For instructions, see the Apple help article or the Google (Android) help article.
  • Check that GPS is turned on for the exercise. Note that only exercises where you cover physical distance use GPS. For more information, see How do I turn on GPS for an exercise on my Fitbit device?
