My Dad has recently been diagnosed with Dementia and we are trying to find something he can wear, that if he gets lost, officials can track his location. He wears a watch all the time, so I was curious if a Fitbit Versa would be effective for this?

There are no Fitbit models appropriate for this.  However, there are several devices, including watches specifically designed for this purpose.  I don't know them offhand but you can easily search for "GPS dementia tracker" to get several suggestions.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @hmicozzi  - as a Fitbit requires a phone have a look at tracking using the phone, or an Apple AirTag or Samsung Galaxy SmartTag+
