Group Storage in Versa 4

I have recently purchased a Versa 4, was looking at all the clock faces and kept seeing group storage but I didn't know what it was. I hope this is helpful to someone:

The "Group Storage" feature on Fitbit clock faces, such as Dash, refers to how the clock face manages and stores data. This can include user preferences, settings, or activity metrics the clock face uses to function or customize its display. Here's what it typically means:

  1. Custom Settings and Preferences: If the clock face allows for customization (e.g., changing colors, displaying specific metrics), these preferences are stored locally on the device in the group storage.

  2. Data Caching: The clock face might cache activity data (like steps, heart rate, or distance) to avoid fetching it repeatedly from Fitbit's API, saving battery life and improving performance.

  3. Syncing Across Devices: For specific Fitbit clock faces, group storage can help save settings so they persist when switching between devices or reinstalling the clock face.
