Hourly Activity - Versa 4

My Versa 2 would tell me how many steps I had left to complete for my hourly goal of 250 steps at any time during the hour, but my Versa 4 only tells me how many steps I have left at 10 minutes before the hour is up & I haven't achieved the 250-step goal yet. Is there any way to duplicate the Versa 2 feature on the Versa 4? I really like knowing if I have to take 5 steps or 230 steps to meet the goal well before the hour is up! 🙂

Hello @LucyLapin and welcome to the Community.  Fitbit didn't discontinue this feature.  It changed the format.  Your Hourly Activity is in your Today app on the Versa 4.  It doesn't show your progress like older models.  It shows your completed hours.  You don't know how much progress you made until you get the ten minutes left vibration reminder.  You might need one step or all 250.  A very bad design change on Fitbit's part.  Please vote for and leave a comment in the linked Feature Suggestion in my previous post.

I so totally agree. I am most disappointed in my Versa 4 because this functionality is missing. I sure hope there's some update to remedy this unfortunate situation.

Hi @anderd57 , @Kayla47  - you may have had a special clock face to provide that information, such one of the SimpleClockPro or SimpleClockDuo series, but as developers haven't been allowed to modify them for this watch perhaps there aren't any available.

The native function is only 10 minutes before the hour.

I too am going from Versa 2 to Versa 4. I am using the same clock as before. I truly miss that feature and may just go back to Versa 2.

@Guy_ , on the Versa 2 this did not require a special clock face - it was a segment of the today app.  It showed how many steps so far this hour, and if you swipe left, it tells how many hours have met the goal and visually displays which hours they were on a round graph. On the Versa 4, it is possible, but difficult to see how many (and which) hours met the goal, but it does not seem to be possible to track your progress on the current hour!  Swiping left only removes that data element from the today display.

If the Versa 4 is incapable of displaying both progress for the current hour, and hours met during the day, I'd prefer seeing progress for the current hour on the watch.  I can look up the daily progress in the app on my phone.

@anderd57 @Kayla47 @Dobbins47 @TemmyW   Please vote for an leave a comment on this Feature Suggestion.  The steps remaining format has been the same since the Charge 2.  I have no clue why Fitbit chose to change it (CC members aren't employees).

I have just set up my new Versa 4 today and am gutted to learn this feature has been discontinued. Probably the feature I look at most when I check my device. Come on FitBit! Just because Google has bought you there is no need to take your eye off the ball. If I had known this feature wasn’t going to be around I don’t think I would’ve gone for Fitbit this time so watch out when the battery starts to deteriorate just after the guarantee expires in a couple of years. Of course you could save the situation by re-adding the feature as a firmware update. That would be the right thing to do. That would be what you call customer service!

I also agree - I just got the versa 4 and looking all over for the current hour steps.  I agree that is functionality missing!  Please update the software to show how many steps completed within each hour.  thanks!

Also - please make them waterproof.  I had to get the versa 4 as my charge 5 went dead after wearing it in the water.  Swimming is an activity so I am not sure why it's not waterproof!
