How do I set up the weather app and notifications on my new Versa 4?

I just received a new Versa 4 and would like the same apps from my Versa 2 on the Versa 4. Primarily, the weather updates and text, email notifications. Is this possible? Thanks

Hi there, @csnwk13. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will be glad to help you with your inquiry!

Since your Versa 4 is pretty new, I'd recommend a couple of days for your Versa 4 to receive the newest Fitbit app. For more information, see How do I update my Fitbit device?

Regarding the weather app, follow the steps below to set it up:

In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image > Gallery > Weather.

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. By default, the Weather app shows your current location, which can't be deleted. Add up to 2 additional locations you want to see in the Weather app.
  3. Sync your device with the Fitbit app. It can take a few minutes to see the updated list of locations on your device.

If the weather doesn't update, check the following settings:

  • Location services must be turned on for the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
  • The Fitbit app must remain running in the background on your phone.

If you change locations, sync your device to see your new location in the Weather app.

As for the notifications, I'd suggest making sure that your Versa 2 is no longer connected to your mobile device as this might be preventing your new Fitbit device from receiving notifications.

With that being said, please try the following:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4 again.
  • Set up notifications on your Versa 4 again.

If you're still not receiving notifications after trying the above, see Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones or Why are notifications delayed or missing?
