Is stroke rate recorded when using rowing as an activity on Versa 4?

I've ordered a Versa 4 as rowing is now an exercise option but would like to know what metrics are recorded for this activity? Are there any plans to upgrade the Versa 3 activities to include this too?

No, the rowing activity is just a label. You will record only duration, HR calories and AZM, same as all other activities.

This blows my mind that this is on the next watch but not a software update for Versa 3.

@sarajaneduffus you are not missing much. Rowing Machine has been added as one of exercises but it's pretty much Workout with different name and icon. Basically, track rowing as Workout on your Versa 3 and then rename it yourself. Same thing.
