I just got the Versa 4 yesterday and was very excited, but it's not tracking my sleep at all (and yes, I'm wearing it above my wrist), it doesn't track steps when I'm pushing a grocery cart, and I'm not getting my calls and messages through it. If I wanted a step tracker that doesn't even work very well, I didn't need to pay $200 for it. If I have to enter everything manually, there are free apps for that. I think this is going back to the store.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @JamesSB!

Sad to hear that you're having issues with your new Versa 4. Regarding your question about sleep tracking, please try setting up a sleep goal and a sleep schedule to improve sleep tracking. You might also change sleep intensity to adapt your device better to your sleep habits. To do all that you might want to have a closer look here:

How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

To track steps, any wrist worn device needs certain patterns of arm movement. So counting steps pushing a grocery cart with both hands, is next to impossible.

Concerning your issue of not getting notifications on your Versa 4, you might find help here:

How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
