Notifications are not coming through my Versa 4

Have followed all the tips and troubleshooting on the help site without success. Have reinstalled the app, reset the device and still no success.
Using an iPhone which is current with software and the app is updated to current version.

Weirdly, calls will come through fine, but it will not receive notifications from texts or calendar or third party apps.
Grateful for any suggestions that are not contained on the help pages for Fitbit.

Hi there, @AppleseedER. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.
  • Set up notifications again.
  • Once your Versa 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Thanks @MarreFitbit but this did not work. Can receive calls but no text or calendar notifications. Have reinstalled the app, re-set up and removed all other Bluetooth devices too.
What other suggestions do you have?
This seems like a fault with the Fitbit - it shouldn’t be this difficult to connect it.

@AppleseedER Thanks for getting back and the details provided.

The text messages not coming through are your iMessages? If so, please try toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verify the "Show Previews" is on "Always". As for the calendar notifications, are they also the default calendar app on your iPhone? If so, do the same as the iMessages.

Hope this does the trick!

Hi @MarreFitbit these settings are set and haven’t changed things - it’s iMessages and apple calendar. I have the same problem even after I’ve changed phones today to a brand new iPhone 14. I wouldn’t mark this as answered, still have the same problem. Not sure what else I can do other than return the Fitbit?
