Random Spike in heart rate at night

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Recently starting using the Versa 4 and last night I noticed one random spike in my heart rate which was totally out of synch with the rest of my sleep pattern. I also use a sleep recording device and listened back to that and I wasn’t moving erratically or distressed or talking in my sleep at that time . Would have thought I might have woken if there was such a dramatic increase like that. Am wondering is it genuine or was it an mis reading ??

Hello @LaineyD82 and welcome to the Community.  As a long time user, I suspect this is an artifact.  Your Fitbit shouldn't be too loose or too tight.  You might have had your wrist in a position just long enough to interfere with the LED sensors.  From time to time, my Fitbit reads double my heart rate.  Your Fitbit is analyzing signal from tiny blood vessels below the skin's surface.  Your spike looks like it might be double your heart rate.

Keep an eye on this phenomenon, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it unless it keeps happening again and again and again.
