Random spikes in heart rate.

I have had my versa 4 for three days and yesterday it recorded 140 zone minutes (fat burn zone). The worrying thing is that over 100 of these minutes happened while I was sitting down, watching tv and not doing anything active.
And then today, when I was actually walking in 28 degree heat with a big bag of shopping, it only registered 11 minutes despite the fact I could feel that I was probably doing more.

Has anyone else experienced this? Particularly the random spikes when inactive as that’s what concerns me most…I’m a bit of a hypochondriac! Never had this with my versa 2 and I had that for nearly three years.

I posted about one of my run sessions where it showed 160 BPM which was not accurate because I wasn’t near out of breath or pushing it at all.  One response I got was that it will be inaccurate during certain exercise.  I’ve made it a habit to push it up my arm so it’s a snugger fit if I want a better reading.  Seems to work for me.

Thanks. It wouldn’t bother me so much if it was while exercising but it was while I wasn’t doing anything.

I'm having this issue, too. On days when I haven't exercised at all, I'll have extended active zone periods. One of them happened when I was lying down. Most of them are while I'm sitting and crocheting. Then it will miss things that really should be creating zone minutes. I've had my Versa4 since maybe January, and this just started about a week ago.
