I decided to update my Fitbit 2-3 months ago to the Versa 4 & honestly I wish I hadn’t bothered the battery drains from 99% to 29% in literally hours & as for the new App it’s absolutely awful I think someone needs to have a word with the designers I can’t find anything, I can’t move the tiles to the order I like & don’t get me started on the boring one toned colour, I’ve been using Fitbit since 2016 & always raved about it so sadly unless they change it back then once my free subscription has finished I will be going elsewhere, it’s so annoying I wasted money on this.. I’m so disappointed with Fitbit right now I hope the designers reads everybody’s post & thinks again…

While once Google took over Fitbit there have been a lot of things wrong, battery life on the Versa 4 hasn't been one of them.  I still get a solid 5-6 days between charges.  Your watch should be under warranty, and you should be able to get it replaced as a fast battery drain should not be happening.

Instead of an upgrade, you are absolutely correct in that it is maddening that Google decided to do this rewrite and push it out half baked.  I wouldn't hold my breath on being able to rearrange the tiles though, and the "Material" design is certainly going to stay to match the rest of Google's software.  But I would expect them to start rolling out changes and updates (how the heck did they release this without Dark mode?).

I certainly understand not paying for Premium (seriously, who the heck finds any real value with $10/mo for what they are giving you?), but the watch is still one of the best trackers out there for the price, and since you already paid for the watch, I wouldn't run just yet, and see what updates and upgrades come to the app, especially once the Pixel 2 watch is released.
