Running pace accuracy

Hi. I've noticed while I'm running my watch only displays my average pace p/km rather than varying as I run. I'm sure it used to display the 'live' pace (or did I imagine that!?) Is there a way to set it so it shows an accurate live pace rather than average over the distance ran?

It's also really inaccurate compared to Garmin and Strava. Are Fitbit planning on addressing this?

Thanks

If you tap the screen (or swipe, I don't remember) you should be able to switch to the next metric. If pace isn't there, then go to settings and there should be a list of available metrics and turn on the pace. That said, yes, Fitbits are horrible when it comes to tracking running. As a runner, I see Fitbits as the lowest-shelf product. Inaccurate, and missing lots of features runners usually need. It hasn't been improved in years so unlikely that will be addressed.
